Self Portrait After Sargent's Spanish Dancer, 9x12", Oil on Panel, 2015. I painted this little self portrait study after a recent visit to the National Gallery in Washington, DC where I saw John Singer Sargent’s, "Spanish Dancer" with her weirdly twisted arm. A number of us had a lively discussion about wether an arm can really do that. The answer is yes, but not for long. I painted this from a photograph. Available
