Eiffel Tower, 10 x 5", Oil on Linen, 2013. There is no sight more unique and distinct to Paris than the Eiffel Tower. It can be seen from any arrondissement in the city and beyond. This view is from the Champ de Mars (Field of Mars), the large public green-space located southeast of the tower. My painting kit was especially compact for this painting. I squeezed out my pallet ahead of time into a small, metal, prisma-color box which closed tight. I had my brushes and other supplies in my backpack. My art buddies and I knew we would be trekking all over Paris on this particular day, so I left my easel, tripod and stool behind in favor of an even more portable kit.
