July 4th, 9x12, oil on panel, 2016. This spontaneous piece was completed during the Telluride July 4th Parade, or as I like to think of it, the biggest, small town parade around. I had a great time responding to the sights, sounds, and colors marching, driving and unicycling their way down Main Street. It felt a bit like a team effort at times as my fellow onlookers shielded me from the water guns and squirt cannons of the Telluride Swim Team. It was a marvelous morning and the only time I can think of when I got free candy while painting. sold
