16 x 20", oil on linen, 2015. Sold.
I painted this with my art buddies from The Woodlands Art League, The Woodlands, Texas. We meet on Fridays to paint from life and this particular Friday, we broke from convention and painted en plein air.
The weather in Houston isn’t usually conducive for outdoor painting. Luckily we had a sweet spot this spring between not to humid, cold or hot, so we took advantage of that precious window and posed out model in the shade outside.
I posted the painting online and it was noticed by Bob Bahr who wrote an article about me and my painting for "Outdoor Painter", an online newsletter for "Plein Air Magazine."
